Shiro laughed at Keith, wiping the wetness from his face on the back of his arm, crawling up the bed. “Thought I’d surprise you with your favourite way to wake up. Start the day off right, hmm?”
Arms snaked around his waist as Shiro spooned him snuggly. They kissed, gentle and soft.
Shiro and Keith are best friends. Shiro knows this. Their friends claim they have a bromance because of the amount of time they talk and the few times they’ve been caught cuddling. Shiro’s fine with that. (He’s not against the idea at all.)
But one night somehow, something happens (Shiro thinks something may had gone right) and they end up having sex. Shiro and Keith swear it’s going to be a one-time thing and that it’s not going to happen again.
But here, in that moment, the narrator, if there was such a narrator for their lives, would have said: “it was not, in fact, a one-time thing.”
Shiro’s life is perfect. They have a home, a dog, the love of his life, and if he had his way, a wedding someday soon. Nothing could be better…until it all falls apart. Is Keith and Shiro’s happy ever after real or are the nightmares hunting Shiro the truth?
This is about a fifth of an image I’ve finished for Lilium a really nice Sheith PDF art fanzine that should be posting pre-orders any day now. I did 3 full illustrations for it and the other artists work in it is soooo yummy. Over 40 contributors, and some amazing digital merch (I did a bunch of fun things for that too) brought to you by Ash the organizer of Heliotrope .
