Indoctrinated by TIM after the events of Mass Effect 2, Sara Shepard joins Cerberus and becomes one of it’s top operatives. Although initially she is in a relationship with Kai Leng, she still has feelings for Kaidan and pursues him at every chance; determined to win him to Cerberus’ cause and back to her side.
Kaidan, haunted by the woman he still loves and desperately trying to hide his feelings from his superiors, is in charge of the Alliance’s black ops team in charge of hunting Shepard and Cerberus down and stopping them. Torn between his head and his heart, he isn’t sure if he can make the tough choice to bring Shepard to justice.
Love runs a wicked course though, and when a jealous Kai Leng captures Kaidan, it’s up to Sara to risk it all to save his life, and in the process bring down The Illusive Man and change Cerberus forever.
When Kaidan has a migraine, he turns the lights off and curls up on the couch. He rests his head in Shepard’s lap, and Shepard gently strokes his forehead and through his hair. It doesn’t necessarily help the migraine go away, but it’s immensely comforting all the same. Source: elfgirl931

you know what’s really fun, going through your ps folder and finding stuff you don’t really recall doing. then cleaning it up. kind of. i just love kaidan and his octopus grip ok
Kaidan picking up habits from Shepard, and using them after the Normandy is destroyed
Kaidan using the motion of casting a barrier to throw a grenade, because that’s what Shepard used to do
Kaidan holding his gun the way Shepard used to
Kaidan taking to talking to himself during a firefight, because he got used to banter and not talking makes it seem more serious than it is
Kaidan throwing back the enemies’ taunts in an obnoxious and exaggerated voice, because according to Shepard, everyone takes themselves way too seriously
Kaidan doing all of this completely unconsciously- he didn’t do it to mimic Shepard, it just felt…right.
Kaidan on Horizon, having gotten free of stasis and behind cover, sizing up the Collectors. Without thinking, as he shoots one, he shouts “holy fuck, you’re ugly,” and at the same time hears- maybe in the back of his mind, but it feels too real for that- a familiar voice shout the same thing, across the colony, and for a moment his heart stops
