Author’s Note: This is my submission for @dancing-the-hellfire-rumba‘s 0.5k Out Of Context Challenge. Helen, I’m so sorry this is last minute, but life’s been kicking my butt lately. I really, really hope you like it and, again, congratulations on your milestone. You deserve all of us and so many more ❤
My prompt for this is “Come here.” “Why?” “Just- c’me ‘ere” “No, you’ll hit me.” (awesome, I know) and it’s been inserted in bold in the fic below. Gif found here.
Enjoy ❤
It all starts with
a note.
Dean finds it in
his bedroom, just a little post-it card waiting for him next to one of the
pillows. He recognizes the familiar scribbles almost immediately, rolls his
eyes at the little heart she’d drawn at the bottom, a habit of hers he refuses
not to complain about.
Meet me at Room
14 at midnight. Alone.
PS. This is not what is sounds like, so, for the
love of God, bring clothes.
A smirk spreads
across his lips as he takes in the words, imagines
the look of complete mischief and smugness she must have worn as she put them
into paper, but, as he remembers how things are
between them, every ounce of happiness vanishes from his face, like falling
stars in the night sky.
Because Dean knows what this is about.
Y/N is hiding
something from him.
That much is
obvious from all those times she sneaks out of bed when she thinks he’s asleep,
from all the hushed phone conversations and the distracted glances and those
kisses that aren’t quite as present, quite as thorough as they used to be.
Y/N is hiding
something from him and, while he doesn’t want to admit it out loud, he knows what
it is.
I love it, I love it, I love it I LOVE IT. ITS SO CUTE AND SO DEAN AND SO – GOSH.
Excellent use of the prompt, like wow and don’t even worry about it being late, you’re good, dude.
This was adorable and easily something that could happen in the show and I love love *love* the details you make up, like the cap tee and the heart on the note and it’s just– awesome, it’s awesome.
YOU ARE TOO GOOD TO ME AND I’M SO, SO GLAD YOU LIKED IT ❤
Title: Somewhere Only We Know: Spring’s Tale (Part III)
Overview: Dean Winchester doesn’t believe in love. He doesn’t believe that he deserves the happiness of it after everything he’s done. And then she waltzes into his life. The girl that brings with her colors and life and feelings he never thought he’d experience. Is the one year he gets to spend with her enough to change his life forever? Or will it break him beyond repair?
Characters: Dean Winchester x reader, Sam Winchester (did I mention he ships them?) Marty Blye, Jack Y/L/N (OMCs, only mentioned).
Word count: 4678 (still no regrets, lol)
Warnings: Fluff. Angst. Implied smut. Some language, allusion to death and grief. Slightly jealous!Dean Bean, but don’t worry, he’s just being a dork.
Author’s Notes: This is my entry for @thing-you-do-with-that-thing‘s Seasons of Love Challenge (Bloom of Spring) and for @dancing-the-hellfire-rumba‘s 250 Writing Challenge. My prompts are a secret gif added to the fic below and Dive by Ed Sheeran.
Special thank you to Wonder Woman @percywinchester27 (AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I cries LOVE cries some more this) for betaing this for me, even though she’s been insanely busy. I love you so, so much, Ana.
Thank you so much for your patience and the love you’ve shown for this series, y’all. I love you.
Out of all the regrets Dean has, pushing
her away is his biggest one.
He realizes that much the moment she
walks out of the door, the moment she leaves him aching for something
he’d never thought he’d have, and, though he tries to convince himself that
what happened, those kisses, don’t change anything between them, he can
feel it, deep into his bones, he can feel he just ruined the one good thing in
his life.
He can feel he lost her.
And he’s right.
She retracts in herself almost
immediately, builds walls and creates spaces between them, letting everything
they’ve ever shared –late night conversations and inside jokes and accidental
brushes of hands, vanish into thin air, like they never even existed.
Like they meant nothing to her.
And maybe they did.
Maybe he was so desperate to believe he
actually mattered to her that he saw things that weren’t there, things he wanted
to see.
Granted, she tries to keep things civil,
tries to talk and feign contentment and laugh at his jokes, but he knows it’s
all smoke and mirrors. He can see it every time she leaves a room shortly after
he enters it, every time her smile falters just a little bit when they
lock eyes, something like hopelessness dangling across her face.
OH JESUS CHRIST! YOU, DEAR, WILL BE THE DEATH OF ME.
This is so fucking precious. I can’t even put it into words. You’re absolutely talented.
You have a superpower, honey. This is your superpower. And I’m so glad you share it with us.
This story is so cute and heartwarming and I love it so much.
The way you write Dean, and his relationships and his romantic, head-over-heals side is just perfect.
But I’m scared. Really. That A/N???!!! You’re gonna make me ugly cry with the next one, aren’t you?😭😭😭
I’m eager to find out what you have planned for summer. I’m so excitedddd alreadyyy!!!
Anyway, I’ll be here waiting for my death to happen. And it’ll come with summer. Who would’ve thought, uh? (I did. I suspected it. Who am I kidding)
YOU are so fucking precious, this reblog made my entire day, week, life. Thank you so, so much for all your love and support, I love that you loved my story.
PS. Summer’s gonna be a bumpy season for Dean and his girl… Now, forget I said that and c’mere for a hug…

So, he falls for her, falls so quickly that no one in the room even hears the sound. And that is the beginning of their story.

Word count: 8129 (it’s a monster fic, I know, but it’s worth it)

Author’s Notes: This is my submission for @d-s-winchester‘s 12 Days of Christmas Challenge. Ashley, thank you so, so much for letting me participate and being so kind and understanding when I asked for an extension. I hope this was worth the wait.
Also, special thank you to my amazing friend slash sunflower @trexrambling because she beta’d this entire thing and helped me figure out how to make this story better and more beautiful. This would have never been posted without her.
My prompt for this was Baby, It’s Cold Outside by Michael Bublé and Idina Menzel (I love it btw) and it’s been used both as an inspiration and a key for the plot of this fic.
Thank you all so much for sticking with me and Merry Christmas! ❤

Dean knows she’s
trouble the first time he sees her.
He’s leaning
against one of the bookshelves in his brother’s living room, tiny snowflakes
still sprinkled across his hair, and even though there are so many things he
could have noticed, the fresh evergreen branches and the printed patterned
ribbons and a Christmas tree with plaid
garments, she’s the first thing that catches his attention.
He finds her dancing
on top of a sofa, one of her hands reaching up towards the ceiling while the
other holds a mustache stick close to her upper lip, and God, she’s singing,
she’s actually singing Michael Bublé’s
part in Baby, It’s Cold Outside while
his little niece is sitting on the floor, just a couple of feet away, giggling
and clapping her hands giddily.
And though there
are reindeer antlers on her head and her tiny feet are engulfed in a ridiculous pair of
red and green fuzzy socks and she probably looks like a mess in that oversized
Christmas sweater of hers, Dean’s sure he’s never seen anything more radiant in
his life.
It’s there, in the
way she moves and laughs and sings so completely out of tune, in the way her
eyes shine, alive with a warmth Dean has never seen in a stranger’s eyes
before, in the way she just lives in
the moment, and everything else around her ceases to exist.
Dean Winchester doesn’t believe in love. He doesn’t believe that he deserves to be loved, doesn’t believe he deserves the happiness of it after everything he’s done. And then she waltzes into his life. The girl that brings with her colors and life and feelings he never thought he’d experience. The girl with the scars that match his. Is the one year he gets to spend with her enough to change his life forever? Or will it break him beyond repair?
Thank you for all the love you’ve shown for this story! Love you all.
GUYS! Guess what I’m currently working on
PS. I also have a fluffy ficlet coming up to redeem myself for my angst fic, if you’ll forgive me?
oh god I love this so much. just so much.
I AM SO HAPPY BECAUSE this story is slowly but surely finding its way into my heart. And I swear to you, the next part is ready, I’m just waiting for my wonderful beta to go through it and then it will be all yours.
